Job Description

Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Plant Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.

Experience: 8-10 years in project management or a related field, with specific experience in plant nursery management, field operations, and stakeholder engagement.

Skills:
• Proven ability to manage complex and large-scale projects, including quantitative modeling.
• Strong knowledge of blue carbon ecosystems, carbon credits, and restoration ecology.
• Expertise in carbon projects, climate/environmental issues, and ecosystem restoration.
• Excellent project management skills, including multitasking and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English, Tamil, and Sinhala, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people.
• A strong commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation.

Personal Attributes:
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Willingness to travel and work in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.

Salary Range: LKR 3,50,000 – 4,75,000 per month
