A well-known manufacturing company in Sri Lanka is looking to hire a Senior Executive – Sales for its operations in the Northwestern Province. This is a full-time position with a base salary of Rs. 80,000, plus attractive performance-based incentives. The company is seeking someone who is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and experienced in showroom or field sales. If you have a background in selling construction-related products like cement or hardware items, this could be a great opportunity for you.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to drive sales and meet both monthly and quarterly targets. You’ll need to build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure they keep coming back. You will also identify new sales opportunities, whether it’s in retail shops, wholesale markets, or larger projects. This will involve promoting the company’s products through face-to-face customer interactions in the showroom as well as visiting clients on-site.
You’ll be expected to work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to make sure product deliveries are made on time and stock levels are updated regularly. You’ll also monitor what competitors are doing and stay informed about changes in the market so you can better plan your sales approach. Supporting marketing efforts like promotions and in-store displays will also be part of your job.
Good customer service is key, so you’ll need to respond to customer questions and complaints in a timely and professional way. Keeping proper sales records and updating customer data using the company’s systems is also required.
To qualify for this position, you should have a diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management. You must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in the hardware, cement, or construction materials industry. A proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals is a must. You should also have strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to work well both on your own and within a team. Experience in showroom sales and knowledge of ERP or CRM systems will be a big plus.
